For people living in poverty Efficient help that reaches those who need it – for a few days of relief

For 25 years now, Swiss Post has been helping people living in poverty in Switzerland, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. We have been running the “2 x Christmas” charitable campaign since 1997, working together with the Swiss Red Cross, the broadcaster SRG SSR and retailer Coop.

Even in Switzerland, there are a lot of people who don’t have access to essentials. They often find themselves lacking the most basic things, and the best gifts are those that can be used on a day-to-day basis. Personal hygiene products like toothpaste in particular, and even food, are a big financial strain for people living on poverty. The “2 x Christmas” campaign is all about relieving the financial strain on these people, and making their day-to-day lives a bit easier.

Alternatively, you can donate an online parcel at 2xchristmas.ch. The proceeds from online parcels will be used to buy food and basic essentials for people in Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova.

Donated goods parcels can be dropped off free of charge from 24 December 2024 until 11 January 2025 at any Swiss Post branch or branch with partner. The process is even easier with pick@home. Have your donated goods parcel collected from home free of charge. Book your very own collection time on this website.

Thank you very much for your support!

Share your “2 x Christmas” moment with us on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #2xchristmas. Last year saw the donation of 53,365 parcels. In total, there were more than 317 tonnes of soap, creams, toothbrushes, nappies, tea, coffee, oil, flour, rice and other basic essentials. With the donations, the budget of about 40,000 people in financial need can be relieved.
